Residential apartments

Kerry Apartment, Shenzhen

Bring external parcels to residents by robot, reducing direct contact during late-night deliveries.

The challenge

Respecting residents’ time and privacy at night.

Receiving a late-night delivery can mean changing out of pajamas or interacting with delivery personnel. For residents who value their time and privacy, these extra steps can be intrusive and disrupt their evening.

The solution

Robot delivery for incoming parcels

Kerry combines delivery robots with lift and gate connections, plus applications for residents and administrators. Robots carry incoming parcels through the building, allowing residents to collect their deliveries after an arrival notification without direct interaction with external delivery personnel at night.

  1. Residents register for the robot service; the delivery person notifies the resident.
  2. The delivery person uses a password to load the goods into the robot.
  3. The robot travels to the resident and makes an arrival call.
  4. The resident collects the goods and the robot resets for the next delivery.
